some there are two victims in the garage and there is a male victim on the flesh hold of the door. some of the victims may have been shot. police do not believe there is anyone at large or anyone else in danger. >> it was pretty traumatic to hear the gravity and the magnitude of what happened. >> myriam mendoza moody said she heard something. >> i did hear around midnight some very loud male person arguing or yelling. >> reporter: mo lives next door to the house. he didn't hear anything until the morning. >> somebody screaming and saying help me, help me. >> reporter: the house is owned by the software engineer. she knows her as jess and says she is his landlord. >> if i need help, they help me out. >> reporter: the coroner hasn't released the names of

the victims, so we don't know if the homeowner is dead. and even though the incident was contained to the house, they are investigating all possibilities. >> we want to get it right. we want to find out exactly what happened. and we are going to take our time doing it. >> reporter: and again we don't know for sure if that homeowner is dead. the coroner has not released the name, but the friend is saying angel was among the dead. you can see what is left of the memorial here. the people who came were burning insense and they were burning money to spend on the other side as well as food for them to eat. in san francisco, ama dates, abc news. >> thank you very much. police are following leads on a murder in sanly jan droa of the the victim -- san leandro. investigators say she was specifically targeted, and they were reportedly looking for a silver car seen at the crime scene. the victim's name has not been released publicly, but police say she was in her early

20s. exactly one week ago tonight she vanish inked. sierra lamar was gone on her way to school. and the fear and the concern in the eyes of all of those who care about sierra was easy to see tonight. thomas roman is live in fremont where a vigil was held for her this evening. thomas? >> reporter: dan, they are all gone now, but there were people here for a candlelight vigil. sierra used to attend it high school until last fall when she moved to morgan hill. she has been gone a full week, and it has taken a toll on her family and friends. more than 400 fellow students, family and friends crowded the entrance to washington high school. it was sierra's former high school. some are former schoolmates and friends of sierra who were missing since last friday. claire has known sierra since the 7th grade. >> and every day is getting longer. we just want her home. >> her mother was touched by the huge outpouring of

support. >> i know she is going to say she is coming back to us. >> 15-year-old sierra disappeared after leaving in morgan hill. since then the sheriffs have conducted a search of her morgan hill neighborhood for any signs of the missing teen. on sunday they found sierra's cell phone near her home. they also found her purse with pants and a t-shirt in a field a few blocks away. today the fbi agents made an inch by inch search near the lamar home. they also checked inside the homes of neighbors. they also blocked off n an ter section and asked people if they had driven by the area and seen sierra. the field worker were asked if they noticed anything. >> on friday it was a rainy day. but here we used to be working, and we haven't seen anything. >> tonight before the family went into the crowd lighting candles they made a tearful plea foresee yarr raw to come home.

>> we love you. hang in there. don't give up. we are coming for you. we are going to find you. >> friends took up a collection from the crowd to see if they could raise enough money to see if they could find sierra lamar. the santa clara county sheriff say tomorrow morning at dawn at least 60 officers will begin a search within a 12-mile radius of the lamar home. reporting live in fremont, thomas roman, abc news. >> thank you. another missing person to talk about the search for the missing former marine, joseph mchenry. it resumes with some high-profile help. leyland ye will join 20 of mchenry's marine buddies. they began looking for the san bruno resident soon after he was reported missing on march 5th. his car was found near the golf course.

headed back to venezuela. iliana lopez and her son will leave on sunday to visit her sick father. the month long trip was approved by a family court judge according to the court documents filed today. on monday, he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of false imprisonment. he was then officially suspended the next day. the initial charges stem over lopez's desire to take their son to venezuela. but now she is heading there. a quarter of the staff working for the business side of the america's cup race in san francisco laid off today. the cup comes as race organizers finalize a new agreement for holding the race. the new deal significantly downsizes the event which in turn leads to staff reductions. 28 employees got the bad news. 14 work in the city and 14 work overseas. their jobs were in an administration and internet technology and communications. again the business side of the race. and more bad news for the

students at the city college in san francisco. they are delaying it by two weeks and they are cutting enrollment 60% or as many as 3600 students. city college is taking these steps to close a budget gap of nearly $5 million. staff and administrators are taking furlough days and the faculty is accepting a retroactive pay cut. the oakland mayor gene quan added to her war chest to fight off a recall campaign should it come to that. members of her group call chinatown community against the recall held a fundraiser for mayor quan. the recall effort picked up momentum after a police crackdown on occupy protesters at city hall. that's what you are looking at here. the chinatown group says the recall is an unnecessary sideshow. >> it is going to be devisive, and it is going to be counterproductive. so therefore we want to be having a more productive oakland for all of us.

the state senator introduced a bill that would ban employers that would ask for your social media pass word. it is a practice that is becoming more common and employers have a lot of people to choose from because of the economy and they want to know as much as they can about potential hires. the sites may contain] embarrassing pictures or information you don't want them to have necessarily. facebook, the site where many go does not approve of anyone asking for pass words. spacestation astronauts are taking cover right now. the six astronauts seen in the spacestation earlier today here in these pictures are in a -- are in escape capsules. the space junk is expected to pass closest to the spacestation in about 20 minutes time. this is the third time in 12 years astronauts have had to hide from space junk. it will be a fairly close call. like the swallows

returning to san juan capistrano, a pair have returned and it took a hundred years. they got a nest at the northern end of san mateo county's crystal springs reservoir. although no longer endangered, bald eagles are quite rare in these parts. the last confirmed citing was in 1915, believe it or not. they are magnificent. well, no one won tonight's mega millions jackpot. ticket sales were brisk as people took a chance at the estimated $290 million jackpot. it is one of the biggest ever, the 15th largest in history. the jackpot climbs to $356 million. here are the numbe tonight. 6, 17, 19, 20, 21 and the mega ball is 20. in mountain view, someone bought a ticket that has five of the correct numbers. that ticket is worth $250,000. so a pretty good night for that person. let's talk about the weather forecast.

a big storm is coming as you have heard. sandhya patel is tracking it for us. >> and tomorrow you are going to see most of the rain falling, and then it turns to showery weather for your sunday. here is a look at live doppler 7hd, and you can see the moisture is already getting picked up by the live doppler 7hd and just off the coastline. what you are seeing in the north bay is not all reaching the ground. it is in the form of sprinkles. even in the ukiah area, i have just checked the atmosphere and it is just a matter of minutes before you start getting your rain. in the north bay, the numbers right now in the 50s except los gatos at 49. here are the highlights. rain developing overnight and a wet and cool weekend. the active pattern will remain with us all the way into next week as far as the workweek is concerned. here is the storm that we are watching for the weekend. if you have outdoor plans tomorrow, it is going to be soggy. sunday you will actually get a few breathers here, and i will show you the animation in a moment, but it has all of the moisture. we start out at 11:00.

as you will notice around 3:00 in the morning, the rain begins to move in along the coastline. there is a cold front that approaches and it could be moderate at times. and then saturday morning it is just a soaker. the front becomes stationary and then it finally pushes out. the rain switches over to showers on sunday, and by late sunday afternoon and into the evening we will start to see some breaks for your sunday. so showery weather once again on sunday. i would have the umbrellas happenedy both days -- handy both days, you will need them. up to eight inches in the santa cruz mountains and 1 to 2 inches in the north bay. peninsula three quarters to an inch and a half and the south bay is half an inch to an inch. there is a winter weather advisory sunday morning to monday morning, but it is not expected to be a big snow maker. anywhere from 4 to 6 inches of snow expected there. now, first thing in the morning temperatures will be in the 40s so a milder morning compared to this morning.

39 in cloverdale and interior mendocino county and they are also under a wint -- interest winter weather advisory. it is much cooler than where you should be. we will see low to mid50s. clear lake at 48 degrees. need a sweater and need an umbrella. 54 in monterey and 54 in gilroy. make sure you have your rain coat. the accu-weather seven-day forecast, wet tomorrow and rain turning to showery activity in the afternoon on sunday. there is a slight possibility of a few lingering showers on monday. and then another storm comes in on tuesday. that's going to be a pretty good soaker it looks like. chance of showers on wednesday. and then the rain line begins to shift into the north bay on thursday and friday. bottom line is this weekend will be cool, low to mid50s, but then by the time we get into next week, the temperatures will moderate a bit. they will be back into the 60s. >> thanks, sandhya. well, need to get off the internet? time for a high-tech detox perhaps?

team in the country, and the wild cats showed why tonight in the ncaa sweet 16. showdown game with indiana and the cats broke a hundred. the harbaugh brothers were supporting indiana. the hoosiers beat kentucky in the regular season. where is the d. terrance jones and he was over overwhelmed and he added too much offense. he leads the come back and he is 27. late in the first half, and they couldn't handle the power of marcus kid and the kid is a beast, 24 points and 10 boards. 102 to 90. the top seed kentucky will advance to the south regional final. and they will have to deal with quincy. baylor's big man put on a dunkfest against xavier. come and get some. they had 20 points and 15 boards, and he was very neon. bailer -- bailer wins it and they advance to the south regional final. north carolina and their
